Somebody recently called it a Cinderella story. It’s a stretch…
Once upon a time, a poor girl dreamt of going to the ball (New Year’s Eve at Boundary Bay Brewery) but sadly could not afford (was too cheap) to attend. Luckily, her prince charming (her sister’s friend) was working the door and he admitted (grudgingly) the fair damsel free of charge. Sadly, he was occupied guarding the entrance as she dance the night away just feet from the young prince. But, she fatefully (more like clumsily) dropped her ID before leaving, and the prince had to seek her out (call her sister) for her to retrieve it. Upon return, she complimented his beard (or that thing that looked like a beard) and their happily ever after began.
Well, more like it began months and months later, when the timing was right and Tony had mustered up the courage to ask Claire on a date. But after that first date quickly came many more, and now, years later, the ever-after will begin.
